Manolo Montesinos


He was born in Benaguasil (València) in 1958. He began studying at 7 years old in its Music Academy. From the very first moment, his marks were very fine (A). At 9, he entered in the València High Music Conservatory as a Horn student. Mr. Rossell was his professor. In 1970, he obtained a grant and finished studying in 1976.

In 1973, Montesinos became a member of the València Conservatory Band as a solist and integrated a wind quintet, which performed in a lot of citis in Spain. Three years later, he entered in the Simphonic Orchestra in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He could interpretate, for exemple, Concert number 2 for Horn and Orchestra KV. 417 by W. A.Mozart. En 1977, Montesinos managed to achieve both the soloist post in the Gran Teatre del Liceu Orchestra, in Barcelona, and the soloist post in the Municipal Band, also in Barcelona, where he actually developes his professional carreer.

He has collaborated with the Ciutat de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya Orchestra or with Vallès Orchestra, for instance. About Camera Music, Montesinos is a member of the Barna Brass Quintet and has offered didactical concerts and performances in important theatres throught Catalunya.
